Yoshitake BSV-2EN Bellows Globe Valve, PN16/PN25

Yoshitake BSV-2EN is a high-performance bellows globe valve designed for steam, air, cold and hot water, oil, and other non-dangerous fluids. It features a ductile cast iron body and a two-stage sealing system comprising double bellows and gland packing to ensure zero external leakage. The non-rising handwheel design covers most of the threaded surface, keeping it free from foreign substances. This maintenance-free valve eliminates the need to replace or retighten gland packing, and the handwheel can be turned with small torque without interference from the spindle.

This chart shows PT rating of PN16 and PN25 for ductile cast iron flanges according to EN 1092-2. BSV-2EN PN16 flanged can be used in lightly highlighted areas. BSV-2EN PN25 flanged can be used in both light and dark highlighted areas.

Storage and Installation

WARNING

  • Store the product indoors in a dust-free, low humidity, dry, and ventilated environment.
  • Installation should be conducted by suitably trained personnel, wearing protective gear.
  • Make sure that the direction of fluid flow matches the arrow marked on the product.
  • Avoid excessive piping stress by aligning the center of the valve and connected pipe.
  • The valve can be installed in horizontal and vertical pipes, from upright to sideways. Do not install upside down.

To use the valve for high-temperature fluids (approximately 200°C or higher), raise the valve temperature to the operating temperature, and then tighten the bolts additionally. Ensure that the valve is open, and tighten the bolts in a diagonal sequence from a low torque to the specified tightening torque using a torque wrench.

Operation

DANGER

Before applying fluid, make sure that there is no danger if the fluid flows into the end of the piping. Failure to follow this may result in property damage due to fluid leakage.

WARNING

  1. When using the product with its valve fully open, turn the handle counterclockwise by 45 degrees from the fully open position to prevent it from being stuck.
  2. Do not apply excessive force. Operate the valve according to the torque limits:
    • 15A, 20A: 20 N·m
    • 25A: 25 N·m
    • 32A: 30 N·m
    • 40A, 50A: 50 N·m
    • 65A: 80 N·m
    • 80A: 110 N·m
    • 100A: 160 N·m
    • 125A: 245 N·m
    • 150A, 200A, 250A: 300 N·m
  3. Do not try to turn the handle beyond its fully open/closed positions to avoid damage.

Sizes 200A and larger are equipped with a Valve (S) to reduce the opening torque. When opening, first rotate the handle by approximately one full turn to open Valve (S) and allow the differential pressure between inlet and outlet to reduce before continuing.

Tighten the lock bolt if it is necessary to fix the handle. When applying grease to the sleeve, remove the lock bolt and put grease into the screw hole (recommended: Henkel LOCTITE LB 8150).

Troubleshooting

WARNING

Completely discharge the pressure inside of the product, line, and equipment before inspection and maintenance. For high-temperature fluid, cool down the product till it can be touched with bare hands. Perform annual inspections to maintain the product's optimal performance.
