BURKERT 354317 (Type ME44) is an 8-channel digital output module designed to extend the fieldbus gateway Type ME43. It is used to output switching signals and specify set-point values in process automation systems. The module features a polycarbonate body, IP20 degree of protection, and operates within an ambient temperature range of -20 °C to +60 °C. Diagnostics of the Device Status (8DO Module)

Operating Modes

The 8DO module supports multiple operating modes configured via the Bürkert Communicator software:

• On-Off: Operating mode for 2 states, on or off.
• PWM (Pulse Width Modulation): Toggling of the digital output is controlled by a pulse-width-modulated signal. The ON time is based on the frequency (period duration) and the duty cycle.
• PFM (Pulse Frequency Modulation): Toggling of the digital output is controlled by a pulse frequency-modulated signal. The number of switch pulses (frequency) varies depending on the input value and the maximum frequency.
