Burkert Type 3361 (351123) electromotive 2-way globe control valve features up to 6 mm/s travel speed, IP65/IP67 protection, and handles pressures up to 25 bar.

Burkert Type 3361 (SKU 351123) electromotive 2-way globe control valve provides highly precise, dynamic closed-loop control for demanding operating conditions. The electromotive actuator utilizes a ball screw to position the control cone with a positioning speed of up to 6 mm/s, reacting almost delay-free to process signals. Pressure variations or shocks in the medium are not transferred to the valve position. The flow-optimized stainless steel valve body accommodates up to 5 different exchangeable valve seats for precise adaptation to specific flow requirements. Operating on a 24 V DC supply voltage, the valve handles nominal pressures up to 25 bar (PN 25) and medium temperatures ranging from -40 °C to +230 °C.
The closed design features a robust powder-coated aluminum actuator housing and PPS or PC covers, ensuring IP65/IP67 and NEMA 4X protection against harsh environmental conditions, impacts, and vibrations. A self-adjusting packing gland with exchangeable PTFE V-seals maintains long-term tightness. The fieldbus-compatible Type 3361 supports EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, Modbus TCP, and EtherCAT via an integrated gateway, offering advanced functions for process monitoring, valve diagnostics, and predictive maintenance. An optional SAFEPOS energy-pack provides a programmable safety position in the event of a power failure.

The valve features an equal-percentage flow characteristic according to DIN EN 60534-2-4 (linear characteristic curve on request). The theoretical rangeability varies depending on the seat size.

In addition to the maximum operating pressures, the application range is limited by the nominal pressure in accordance with the relevant standard.

Operating Limits for Seat Seal

The electromotive linear drive consists of a brushless DC motor, a gear, and a spindle system that transfers force to the closing element. The integrated electronics are controlled either by standard analogue signals or via a digital fieldbus. A positioner and a process controller are available as controller variants. The valve position can be changed manually via electrical manual control or a mechanical manual override if no supply voltage is available.
Risk of injury from high pressure
Before working on the system or device, switch off the pressure and vent or drain lines. Failure to observe this warning will result in fatal or serious injuries.

X.TUNE Calibration
After mounting the actuator back onto the valve body and applying supply voltage, run the X.TUNE function to adjust the position control to the physical stroke of the actuating element. Never run the X.TUNE under medium pressure.
