BURKERT 20108407 (Type 3361) Electromotive 2-Way Globe Control Valve

BURKERT 20108407 (Type 3361) electromotive 2-way globe control valve. Features a 4-inch G internal thread, PTFE seat seal, and 24 V DC supply. Supports 0-13.5 bar pressure and up to 140 m³/h flow rate.

BURKERT 20108407 (Type 3361) Electromotive 2-Way Globe Control Valve

BURKERT 20108407 (Type 3361) is an electromotive 2-way globe control valve designed for highly precise, dynamic closed-loop control under demanding operating conditions. The electromotive actuator with a ball screw positions the control cone with a positioning speed of up to 6 mm/s and a position control dead band of ± 0.1 %, reacting almost delay-free to process signals. Pressure variations or shocks in the medium are not transferred to the valve position. The flow-optimised valve body can be equipped with up to 5 different valve seats for precise adaptation to specific flow requirements.

The actuator and valve are perfectly adapted to each other with a closed design and powder-coated aluminium surface, ensuring fast and residue-free cleaning for hygienic requirements. The device operates on a 24 V DC supply voltage and supports a maximum operating pressure of 13.5 bar for this specific configuration. The fieldbus-compatible Type 3361 provides functions for process monitoring, valve diagnostics, and predictive maintenance.

Performance Specifications

Flow Characteristics

The valve features an equal-percentage flow characteristic according to DIN EN 60534-2-4. The theoretical rangeability varies depending on the seat size, reaching up to 50:1.

Operating Limits

In addition to the maximum operating pressures, the application range is limited by the nominal pressure in accordance with the relevant standard. The maximum permissible temperature for the environment and the medium are dependent on each other.

INFO

For tight sealing requirements, PTFE soft seals are recommended for medium temperatures up to +130 °C. For temperatures up to +230 °C, PEEK seals or metal seals (Stainless steel) with higher leakage allowances are utilized.

Product Design and Assembly

The electromotive linear drive consists of a brushless DC motor, a gear, and a spindle system that transfers the force to the closing element. The integrated electronics are controlled either by standard analogue signals or via a digital fieldbus.

Integrated Position Controller

The position of the actuator (stroke) is controlled according to the position set-point value. The displacement transducer records the actual position (POS) of the electric linear actuator. The positioner compares the actual position value with the position set-point value (CMD). If there is a system deviation (Xd1), the electric motor drive is controlled via the actuating variable CTRL.

Integrated Process Controller (Optional)

The additionally implemented PID controller allows process control. The set-point position of the valve is calculated from the external signal (e.g., level, pressure, flow rate, temperature) for the process set-point and the actual process value via the control parameters.

Maintenance and Service

WARNING

Never run the X.TUNE function under medium pressure. If the X.TUNE is run under medium pressure, the controller will be incorrectly adjusted, resulting in an uncontrolled process. Secure the system against unintentional activation before running calibration.

Replacement part sets are available for the Type 3361, including the control cone set (control cone, dowel pin, graphite seal), valve seat set (valve seat and graphite seal), seal set for the packing gland, and the SAFEPOS energy-pack. Spare parts must be replaced only by trained technicians using the appropriate tools.
